Although I started my Christmas shopping early this year, Christmas has snuck up on me and I still need a few gifts. I’ve looked around and here are my favourite last-minute gift ideas, ideal for those Christmas stockings that still need to be filled.

The Gin-drinker in your life will love these Festive Gin Crackers from Bloedlemoen. Each cracker contains a 50ml bottle of this quintessential South African Gin. Available from selected stockists.

A little nervous about the conversations, or lack of them, that might arise around the Christmas table this year? Perhaps a conversation starter kit in someone’s Christmas stocking might just be the answer to your worries. Cards for Conversation are available from Poetry.

Msulwa Life‘s seeded pencils make for great stocking fillers. The end of each pencil contains herb, flowers or fruit seeds. When your pencil becomes too short to use, it can be planted in your garden. The seeds sprout within 5-10 days with consistent care and watering.

Simonsig Wine Estate have some cute and affordable gifts available on their online shop. I love these these Kaapse Vonkel Champagne Stoppers. They should make any bubbly-lover smile.

Picture a bed of caramelised popcorn topped with chocolate and other goodies. A Gourmet Popcorn Slab from Maverick and Jane Gourmet Popcorn will make any popcorn-lover (and chocolate-lover) smile this Christmas. They have the most fantastic festive flavours. Choose from S’mores, Millionaire’s Shortbread and even a fruit cake slab. They have stores in Rosebank and Gateway, or head over to their online shop. Oh boy, I hope Santa fills my stocking with popcorn slabs this year (nudge-nudge, wink-wink Peet).

Happy shopping!
